The San Antonio Spurs secured their spot in the 2026 NBA Finals by defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-103 in Game 7 of the Western Conference championships.
Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 22 points and 7 rebounds, while Julian Champagnie contributed 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc. Despite falling short of a third consecutive Finals appearance, two-time defending NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander delivered a standout performance with 35 points for the Thunder.
The Spurs will face the Eastern Conference champions, the New York Knicks, in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday in San Antonio. This rematch echoes the 1999 Finals, where the Spurs claimed their first championship by defeating the Knicks.
