Corn futures are falling 5 to 6 ½ vents across the front months on Wednesday. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price was down 6 ¼ cents at $3.98¼.
USDA reported a private export sale of 136,000 MT of corn to South Korea this morning for 2026/27 shipment. Ahead of the weekly Export Sales report on Thursday traders are looking for old crop business of 0.9-1.5 MMT, with new crop seen in a range of 100,000 to 600,000 MT.
EIA data from this morning showed a 19,000 barrel‑per‑day increase in ethanol production during the week of May 29, taking it to 1.108 million bpd. Ethanol stocks drew 362,000 barrels, reaching 24.606 million barrels despite the higher supply. Ethanol exports rose 33,000 barrels per day to 135,000 bpd, while refiner inputs of ethanol slipped 38,000 bpd to 899,000 bpd.
The 7‑day forecast from NOAA calls for 1‑2 inches of rain across much of the Central/Western Corn Belt next week, mainly before the weekend. The Eastern Corn Belt from central Illinois to Ohio shows minimal precipitation.
July 26 corn is at $4.34¼, down 6¼ cents.
Nearby cash corn is at $3.98¼, down 6¼ cents.
September 26 corn is at $4.42½, down 5½ cents.
December 26 corn is at $4.61¼, down 5¼ cents.
New crop cash corn is at $4.13½, down 5½ cents.
