Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned what it described as blatant Iranian attacks and violations of the sovereignty and airspace of Bahrain, Kuwait, and JordanAnadolu Agency reports.
“The ongoing attacks jeopardize regional and international security and hinder efforts to de‑escalate and restore stability in the region,” the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It reaffirmed its full solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan and all measures undertaken to safeguard their sovereignty, security, stability, and the safety of their citizens and residents.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said early Wednesday that it launched retaliatory attacks on 21 U.S. military targets at air and naval bases across the region, including those in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan.
The attacks occurred shortly after the United States launched strikes in southern Iran in response to the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter.
The latest escalation follows months of heightened regional tensions that began on February 28, when Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iran sparked a cycle of military confrontations, retaliatory attacks, and diplomatic disputes.
Iran and Israel exchanged strikes over the weekend before de‑escalating, underscoring the fragility of the ceasefire and the continued diplomatic efforts by regional and international mediators to revive negotiations and prevent a broader conflict.
