A delegation from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement‑Pakistan (MQM‑P) met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Friday to discuss the FY2026‑27 budget and development initiatives for Sindh, according to the PM’s Office and MQM‑P leader Aminul Haque.
Haque told Dawn that the meeting focused on a “special development package” for urban areas in Sindh, with the party requesting Rs 20 billion for Karachi projects and an additional Rs 5 billion for Hyderabad in the budget.
He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz assured the delegation that the budget includes “sufficient” allocations for both Karachi and Hyderabad.
