Mexican authorities discovered a decomposing corpse showing signs of violence near Tijuana’s Caliente Stadium, where the Iranian national soccer team is training for the World Cup, according to a New York Post report.
Police were alerted after residents reported a foul odor emanating from a gray Toyota SUV with California license plates parked in a grocery store lot near the stadium, the report said.
“Upon inspecting the vehicle, they found a person wrapped in a black bag in the trunk, displaying evident signs of violence,” a spokesperson for the Tijuana prosecutor’s office told the Post.
The vehicle sustained rear‑end damage and bore a license‑plate holder from a Tijuana dealership, the report added.
