At the start of the Coca‑Cola 600, Tyler Reddick held the NASCAR Cup Series lead with 129 points over Denny Hamlin. However, after Hamlin captured victories in each of the four Pocono stages — finishes of 2nd, 1st, 1st, and 1st — he erased that margin, leaving just a 19‑point deficit as the series prepares for the inaugural street‑course event at Naval Base Coronado.
In the battle for a Chase berth, Austin Cindric clings to 16th place, separated from Brad Keselowski — who dropped behind the cut line after a DNF at Pocono — by only four points.
Erik Jones made the most significant gain, climbing three positions into the Chase and now sharing 15th place with Cindric on the tie‑breaker.
No competitor fell more than two positions in the standings, making Carson Hocevar, Bubba Wallace, Keselowski and Zane Smith the biggest losers.
Note: Kyle Busch scored 217 points before his tragic passing, and we have followed NASCAR’s decision to no longer classify Busch in the weekly driver standings.
