Ipswich have confirmed their agreement to appoint Gary O’Neil as their new head coach, succeeding Kieran McKenna, who resigned earlier this month.
The 43-year-old’s compensation with Strasbourg will be finalised, but no major obstacles are anticipated for the transfer.
Tim Jenkins and Neil Critchley, who previously collaborated with O’Neil at Strasbourg, are expected to join him in Suffolk.
O’Neil, who led Strasbourg to an 8th-place finish in Ligue 1 and Europa Conference League semi-finals, brings experience managing in France. His connection to the club dates back to his time at Bristol City when current executive Mark Ashton was in charge.
