Liverpool have rejected Inter Milan’s opening bid to sign midfielder Curtis Jones according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Liverpool view midfielder Curtis Jones as a solid squad player, although speculation surrounds his future as the club looks to add a marquee midfield talent.
Inter Milan are eager to bring Jones to Serie A this summer, but their initial offer of €25 million has been instantly dismissed by the Reds.
Liverpool value the academy graduate at a higher price and will only consider a transfer if the Nerazzurri improve their bid.
The English champions are expected to demand a minimum of €40 million to let Jones leave, despite his limited playing time last season (18 league starts).
Jones has maintained a calm demeanour regarding his situation, though he may submit a transfer request if his ambitions align with a move to Inter.
He has already indicated his desire to join the Serie A side but is prepared to wait for a more attractive offer.
