From June 25‑26, the U.S. Department of State will host a two‑day Pax Silica Summit, overseen by Under Secretary of Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg. Attendees will comprise signatories of the Pax Silica Declaration, representatives from affiliated economies, and senior executives from leading firms developing and financing the technologies that will shape the AI era. Credentialed media are invited to cover the summit’s opening, remarks, announcements, and a signing ceremony that underscores growing international cooperation to reinforce trusted AI supply chains, stimulate investment and innovation, strengthen collaboration on critical minerals, energy, semiconductors, and compute infrastructure, and foster a pro‑growth environment for AI development.
Pax Silica represents the State Department’s flagship initiative to bolster economic security through trusted technology partnerships. It provides a forum for governments and industry to coordinate investment, align market incentives, and accelerate the development of strategic sectors essential to the AI economy. By cultivating enduring commercial collaborations among reliable partners, Pax Silica seeks to expand productive capacity, diminish strategic dependencies, and encourage sustainable, market‑driven growth.
The opening ceremony will commence at 7:50 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace. Senior officials will present remarks, announce new initiatives, and take part in a signing ceremony that welcomes new Pax Silica partners. While the opening session and signing ceremony are open to credentialed media, all subsequent summit activities will be closed to the press.
Arrival details will be communicated to registered media before the event. Attendance is limited, and interested journalists must RSVP to E‑Press@state.gov by 8:00 p.m. EST on June 22.
