Renowned Blood, Sweat & Tears frontman David Clayton-Thomas, known for his gruff, soulful vocals on hits like “And When I Die,” “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy,” and “Spinning Wheel,” died yesterday, June 24, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. He was 84.
His passing was announced by his publicist, Eric Alper, to the CBC. No cause of death was disclosed, though Alper noted that Clayton-Thomas died peacefully.
