Bob Dylan is restructuring his live ensemble following the departure of two key guitarists, reshaping his current touring configuration.
Acoustic guitarist Bob Britt, a member since 2019, has exited Dylan’s tour after sharing a social media post that was later removed. Screenshots indicate Britt posted “Sayonara Bobby” with an image of a flight path from Austin to Nashville, accompanied by a message stating, “I quit.”
Britt had been a consistent fixture during the “Rough And Rowdy Ways” tour, and his absence marks a notable shift in the band’s lineup.

Another recent adjustment involves electric guitarist Doug Lancio, replaced during a June 17 performance at the Santa Barbara Bowl by jazz guitarist Julian Lage. Lancio, part of the band since 2021, was not seen at that show, and while Dylan’s team has not confirmed Lage’s permanent status, he has since joined multiple subsequent performances.
The tour is set to continue through August 1, with remaining dates in Nashville. Dylan has also revived several older tracks, including a 18-year hiatus performance of “I Shall Be Released” in Eugene, Oregon, and a revival of “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere” near Seattle.
