French Montana and Max B brought dynamic New York City energy to the BET Awards 2026 stage with their performance of “Ever Since U Left Me (I Went Deaf).” Adorned in jewelry, the pair were joined by female dancers, enhancing their stage presence. Max B, dressed in all black, incorporated a beat switch during his verse, adding a distinctive flair to the set. Midway through, Rick Ross joined them for “Minks In Miami,” with all three artists donning lavish fur coats amid pyrotechnic displays.
The track, released as the lead single from the mixtape Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos, marks a significant resurgence for the duo following Max’s recent release from prison. It topped Billboard’s US Rhythmic Airplay chart, built around a sample of “That’s the Way (I Like It)” by KC and the Sunshine Band, and spawned remixes including the “West Coast” version featuring Ty Dolla Sign and the “Big Bronx” remix with Remy Ma.
Rick Ross’s 2026 BET Awards appearance marks his fifth performance at the event and first in over a decade. His previous BET Awards performance occurred in 2012, alongside then-Maybach Music Group artists Meek Mill and Wale. That same year, he earned his final lead artist nomination in the Best Male Hip-Hop category, one of four total nominations in that category. His last BET Award nomination, for Best Collaboration, came in 2015 for Chris Brown’s “New Flame” featuring Usher.
Ross continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut album Port of Miami, released in August 2006. The album, propelled by the hit “Hustlin,” solidified his status as one of the South’s most decorated artists.
