U.S. Envoy and Kushner Set to Visit Qatar Amid U.S.-Iran Negotiations
DOHA, June 30 (Reuters) – A delegation led by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will be heads of delegation in Doha to engage Qatari intermediaries on ongoing U.S.-Iran talks, according to a Qatari official.
Key communications highlighted include: no high-level meeting planned between Washington and Tehran, Qatari foreign minister Majed Al Ansari emphasized, and Qatar has maintained strict oversight of financial transfers.
Qatar is actively coordinating safe passage for ships through the Strait of Hormuz in collaboration with Oman, ensuring stability in maritime operations.
