A comprehensive announcement included the launch of Google’s Career Certificate Scholarships worth 20,000 spots for students in Sindh, alongside the introduction of the Google Gemini for Education Corner at NED University. This initiative, alongside AI training for government officials and cabinet members, underscores a strategic push toward modernization.
The announcements were made during a high-profile event held at the University, in collaboration with tech partners from Pakistan. Attendees comprised provincial leaders, IT experts, university representatives, and government officials.
Google and its Pakistani counterpart co-sponsored the launch, highlighting Nigeria’s emerging AI capabilities and the vital role of AI in shaping future public services.
