Southeast Asian airlines are increasing direct flights to Europe to compensate for disrupted Middle Eastern routes, aiming to attract travelers seeking alternatives to connection-heavy itineraries affected by ongoing geopolitical tensions.
BANGKOK/SINGAPORE/HANOI — With Middle Eastern aviation hubs still grappling with the aftermath of recent conflicts, carriers such as Singapore Airlines and Vietnam Airlines are strategically introducing new direct transcontinental routes. These additions include services to key European destinations like London, Milan, and Frankfurt, aiming to offer passengers more convenient travel options without requiring layovers in volatile regions.
