Lewis Macari, a defender for Notts County, has committed to a one‑year contract extension with the club, which has just been promoted to League One.
The 24‑year‑old, who also holds a twelve‑month option in the club’s favour, has amassed over 100 appearances for the Magpies since joining on loan from Stoke City in 2023.
He made 40 appearances for Notts County during the previous season, but a severe leg injury sustained in late April ruled him out of the League Two play‑off campaign that secured promotion.
Macari watched the play‑off final at Wembley on crutches, where Notts County defeated Salford City 3‑0, ending an 11‑year absence from League One.
