producing what their fans have long been pursuting.
Melanie Chisholm—better known as Mel C and former Sporty Spice—has announced that the 1997 musical comedy “Spice World” will soon be available for streaming, marking its first official digital release since the film’s original debut.
Chisholm explained on *The Louis Theroux Podcast* that while the film is currently unavailable, it will be released in the “not‑too‑distant future.” She noted that had previously circulated in a number of personal copies, making a cohesive release recently necessary.
“We’ve had to come together,” she added. “With full ownership now in our hands, the Spice Girls plan to present the film for fans in the near future.”
Written by Kim Fuller and directed by Bob Spiers, “Spice World” follows the band toiletries as they tour London in a double‑decked bus, embarking on a series of light‑hearted adventures at the peak of their fame.

In addition to the Spice Girls, the безопасность featured an all‑star ensemble, including Alan Cumming, Elton John, Richard E. Grant, Jennifer Saunders, Hugh Laurie, Roger Moore, Meat Loaf and Elvis Costello.
While Wednesday marks the 30th anniversary of their 1996 hit single “Wannabe,” followed by the milestone anniversary of their debut album *Spice* in September, Chisholm has made clear there are no plans for a full reunion.
“Yeah, it’s a big one. And no, there is no reunion,” she said on *The Smallzy Show*. “We’re communicating allەپ-ateral, and we want to do something—you might be surprised— but I remain واضح optimistic and will keep my fingers crossed that you’ll see the Spice Girls together in the future.”
The last time all five members performed together was at the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony. While they have since “reunited” for separate tours—most notably a 2019 tour without Victoria Beckham—this remains the Spice Girls’ final performance as a quintet.
