Syrian Interior Minister Anas Khattab announced on Thursday that security forces have detained a cell linked to the terrorist bombings that occurred in Damascus two days earlier, Anadolu reports.
“The cell behind the terrorist bombings that struck Damascus two days ago is now in our custody,” Khattab said in a statement provided by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
He added that authorities will release the identities of the cell members, their roles, and affiliations once the investigations are completed.
Khattab offered no additional details about the suspects or the circumstances surrounding their arrest.
