Newly promoted Worthing will begin their National League journey with an away match against Carlisle United on Saturday, August 8, during the season’s opening weekend. The club will compete in the fifth tier for the first time in the 2026-27 campaign after securing the National League South title last season. Carlisle United, entering their second season in the division following League Two relegation, have appointed Rob Elliot as head coach, replacing Mark Hughes. Other fixtures include National League South play-off winners Hornchurch hosting National League North play-off winners Kidderminster Harriers, while Boreham Wood faces Tamworth. Forest Green Rovers, managed by Robbie Savage, will open their season at home against Halifax Town. Relegated EFL sides Harrogate Town and Barrow take on Solihull Moors and Hartlepool United respectively. AFC Fylde, champions of National League North, will host Wealdstone. The regular season concludes on April 24, with teams ranked second to seventh entering the play-offs. The promotion decider will be held at Wembley on the weekend of May 8. All opening round matches will be broadcast on DAZN, as the usual 15:00 TV blackout does not apply during these weekends.
