Karachi: A collision between a trailer and a water tanker on Jinnah Bridge, which links the city to Karachi Port, left one driver injured and caused traffic disruption on Sunday, according to officials.
They noted that one of the trailer’s containers fell onto the tanker while another struck the bridge’s railing; fortunately, no fatalities were reported.
A traffic‑police official said the accident occurred near the ICI intersection on Jinnah Bridge. The injured trailer driver was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The officer added that preliminary inquiries point to brake failure on the trailer as a likely cause.
Nevertheless, traffic police said the road remained closed for an extended period while heavy machinery was used to remove the containers.
