U.S. forces announced on Wednesday that they had initiated a new series of strikes against Iran, following overnight operations that U.S. Central Command said targeted dozens of military objectives.
The declaration came shortly after President Donald Trump cautioned that he would strike Iran “very hard” until negotiators returned to the table. Central Command stated that the Wednesday morning attacks aim to degrade the military capabilities Iran has employed to target commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
