Taipei — In an effort to fortify its cultural and linguistic heritage, Taiwan is accelerating the development of a domestic generative AI system. By building the model on local data and open‑source technologies, authorities aim to protect the nation’s language and cultural values from the influence of mainland China’s AI models.
