On July 16, widespread protests broke out in multiple Ukrainian cities in response to President Volodymyr Zelensky’s decision to dismiss Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. Appointed just six months prior, Fedorov had established himself as a reform‑oriented leader, working to modernise a military fatigued by more than four years of Russian aggression. France 24 correspondent Emmanuelle Chaze reports on the scenes at one of the demonstrations.
