Kirby Dach has agreed to a one-year, $3.6 million contract with the Montreal Canadiens, finalizing the deal on Thursday and averting a scheduled arbitration hearing.
The 25-year-old restricted free agent recorded 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 37 regular-season games for Montreal last season, adding five points (four goals, one assist) across 19 Stanley Cup playoff contests.
Dach filed for arbitration on July 5; a hearing date had not been disclosed.
Injuries have restricted Dach to just 96 games over his three seasons with the Canadiens.
Originally selected third overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2019 NHL Draft, Dach has accumulated 136 points (51 goals, 85 assists) in 306 regular-season games between Chicago and Montreal, along with 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 28 playoff appearances.
