View Chelsea summer 2026 transfer targets
Aston Villa have initiated negotiations with Chelsea regarding a possible acquisition of winger Alejandro Garnacho, according to David Ornstein.
The Blues recently signed Morgan Rogers from Villa for a club‑record £117 million, and the England winger has penned a long‑term contract.
Villa are now looking for a replacement for Rogers and aim to bring Garnacho on a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of next season.
Manager Unai Emery is reportedly leading the pursuit of the Argentine, having admired his talent before Emery’s stint at Chelsea.
With Champions League football on the horizon, Garnacho is weighing up the move, while AS Roma have withdrawn from the race for his services.
Villa could also strike further deals with the London side, as they remain keen on striker Nicolas Jackson, a former Villarreal teammate of Emery.
Emery previously coached Jackson at Villarreal and aims to reunite with the Senegal international this summer.
