Inside the United Kingdom Military Court Centres

Public hearings are held at both court centres, except when a Judge Advocate orders otherwise.

Situated on the edge of a military base, the courts are designed to facilitate public access to the Service Courts. Entry is through a public gate staffed by the Military Provost Guard Service, which conducts security screenings for all visitors.

Each centre comprises two courtrooms, each equipped to handle any matter within the Service Justice System. Sessions run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; the courts are closed on weekends and public holidays.

Every courtroom features cutting‑edge digital audio recording, assistive listening systems, digital AV/IP evidential presentation tools, and the newest Section 28 recording capability. The service is at the forefront of in‑court technology for board members and defendants, and is actively expanding its use of AI‑driven court transcription throughout 2025.
