Following his victory over Mariusz Wach, Tyson Fury has reversed his earlier stance and will travel to Jeddah to attend Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight contest against Christian Prenga in person.
Just hours after initially indicating he would not travel, Fury confirmed he will be ringside for the event and expressed confidence that Joshua will secure a stoppage victory over Prenga.
When questioned about possibly skipping the event, Fury promptly reversed his decision.
When asked, “Tomorrow you’re definitely not going to Jeddah, right?” Fury replied, “Yeah, I’m going,” to the Stomping Ground.
Regarding the upcoming bout, he stated, “What are you expecting from Anthony Joshua versus Christian Prenga tomorrow?” and answered, “A knockout.”
When asked if he had any message for Joshua after the fight, Fury retorted, “Go and suck my big Gypsy balls. Tell him that. And he’s getting chinned.”
The seven‑round contest against Mariusz Wach provided Fury with the preparation he needed ahead of a larger bout. His arrival in Jeddah sets the stage for another potential face‑off with Joshua, fueling ongoing speculation about a historic rematch between the two British heavyweights.
He emphasized that he will not idle while awaiting a Joshua fight, arguing that inactivity only strengthens opponents. If their planned bout is postponed to the following year, Fury vowed to keep competing relentlessly.
“Sitting idle for two years would only increase the risk of defeat, he reasoned. Should the Joshua fight be delayed until next year, I intend to keep competing relentlessly,” Fury declared.
