Spain’s government delegate to Madrid reported on Saturday that an additional 25,000 residents have been evacuated from villages near Madrid due to encroaching wildfires, raising the total number of displaced individuals to 70,000. Francisco Martin, the official representative, informed journalists that the most recent evacuations occurred within the Valle del Tietar area in the province of Avila, located west of the capital, as well as in two villages within the Madrid region.
