The New York Jets activated defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat to the active/non-football injury list, according to reports from Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. Sweat sustained a minor hamstring injury during the offseason, though it is not anticipated to result in a long-term absence from the roster.
Acquired in a trade with the Tennessee Titans, Sweat has demonstrated strong performance in his prior season, recording 34 tackles and two sacks. His inclusion in the active/injury list reflects the team’s strategic planning for training camp preparations.
Concurrently, wide receiver Tim Patrick and defensive end Tyler Baron were placed on the physically unable to perform list. Baron, recovering from a knee injury that ended his rookie season in Week 14 of the previous campaign, has participated in six games this season, accumulating nine tackles and contributing on both defensive and special teams units. Patrick, whose specific injury remains undisclosed, joined the Jets in May after a 2025 campaign with the Jacksonville Jaguars where he recorded 15 receptions for 187 yards and three touchdowns.
