Friends and family gathered on Saturday in Santa Cruz, California, to celebrate the life of the late singer Oliver Tree.
The public “Celebration of Life” took place six weeks after Tree’s untimely death in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, and was attended by notable guests including Diplo, Logan Paul, Aaron Mercury, Ethan Klein, and Tree’s own parents.
Tree’s parents spoke poignantly to the crowd: “He always encouraged people to trust themselves, get off the couch, create art, and truly engage with the world. His message was simple—‘Get out there and make it happen.’ That was who he was.”
Logan Paul reflected on the artist’s character: “Oliver was a friend to all, a fearless adventurer with an infectious zest for life. He had an incredible gift for making everyone feel seen and heard.”
Patey: “Oliver was a generational artist whose legacy will endure, and I’m proud that we keep his spirit alive by celebrating the impact he made during his time on Earth.”
All proceeds from the service benefited the newly established “Extremely Epic Art Grant for Baby Geniuses,” a foundation created by Tree’s estate to provide grants for young artists, in accordance with his wishes.
