Netflix is developing a new series based on Dan Brown’s novels, and Morgan Spector will portray Robert Langdon, the symbology professor previously played by Tom Hanks in three films.
Langdon first appeared in Brown’s 2000 novel Angels and Demons and rose to prominence with the 2003 bestseller The Da Vinci Code, which was adapted into a blockbuster film directed by Ron Howard and starring Hanks.
The upcoming series will be adapted from Brown’s forthcoming 2025 novel The Secret of Secrets. Spector, known for his role in the acclaimed series The Gilded Age, will take on the lead role.
