Liverpool are currently exploring a move for PSG attacker Bradley Barcola, though reaching a final agreement may prove challenging.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, negotiations are expected to be a protracted process as both clubs work toward a consensus. While PSG has placed a valuation of approximately €170 million on the winger, Romano suggests a final fee could potentially land below that figure.
Liverpool’s pursuit of the 23-year-old highlights a clear need for increased dynamism on the flanks. Barcola, known for his elite one-on-one dribbling and ability to stretch defensive lines, represents a significant potential upgrade to the Reds’ attacking arsenal.
Romano noted: “Liverpool are working on a deal for Bradley Barcola, but don’t expect a breakthrough within the next few hours. It’s going to take time for negotiations and discussions.
“I can confirm and explain today: Barcola is very open to and keen on Liverpool. He is attracted by the project. He believes Liverpool would be the perfect option for his future.
“Barcola can’t control anything regarding club-to-club negotiations, and obviously PSG would want a significant fee. I don’t think it’s going to be €170m; I think it will be for less than that.
“Liverpool are in contact, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.”
For Barcola, a move to the Premier League would offer the consistent playing time essential for his continued development. A departure from Paris would align with his personal ambitions, as Liverpool can guarantee more regular involvement in a high-tempo league.
Following a campaign that yielded 13 goals and seven assists, there is a strong belief that Barcola’s statistical output could flourish under the right circumstances. Playing within a highly offensive system like Liverpool’s could unlock his full potential.
