Following the record‑breaking premiere of Battle of Fates on Disney+ Korea, the series creators are launching a spin‑off.
House of Fates invites fans of the mystical unscripted series to travel to sites steeped in spiritual energy, where they will take part in rituals, traditional customs, and dining events that reflect Korea’s rich spiritual heritage.
Described as a “heart‑warming exploration of the growing fascination with Korean fortune‑telling,” the program lets participants receive personalized readings, share stories of love, loss and other experiences, and then engage in local shamanistic rituals, gaining insight into Korea’s shamanic traditions and fate‑reading practices.
This announcement follows Battle of Fates’ rise to become Disney+ Korea’s highest‑ranked series after just 12 days of streaming, surpassing Moving. The competitive reality format gathered 49 of South Korea’s leading fortune‑tellers, shamans, palmists, tarot readers and other diviners to showcase their predictive abilities.
Contestants employed a wide array of tools — including traditional fans, bells, dowsing rods, analytical deduction, contemporary laptops, and even communion with spirit guides — to deliver precise insights and avoid elimination.
Remakes of the concept have also been announced, beginning with House of Fates as the inaugural spin‑off series.
