Ella Langley’s ‘Choosin’ Texas’ Hits Historic 35‑Week Run at No. 1 on Country Charts

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” entered the Hot Country Songs chart in November 2025 and reached No. 1 within about a month. It quickly became not only the top‑selling country track in the U.S. but also the most popular song across all genres.

More than six months later, “Choosin’ Texas” still dominates the Billboard Hot 100, the nation’s most competitive chart, and continues to lead the Hot Country Songs list. Langley’s breakout hit adds another week at the summit, breaking a historic tie and climbing higher on the all‑time rankings.

Ella Langley Has Reigned Now for 35 Weeks

“Choosin’ Texas” remains at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart this week. The chart, which ranks the most‑played country tracks in the United States based on streams, sales and radio airplay, shows the song has spent 35 of its 42 weeks on the list at the top position.

Ella Langley Breaks a Historic Tie

“Choosin’ Texas” is now only the third single ever to log at least 35 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Previously it was tied with Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road,” which logged 34 weeks starting in 2017. With this achievement, “Choosin’ Texas” claims the third‑longest reign, pushing Hunt’s track to fourth place on the all‑time list.

Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line Still Lead

Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line still hold the record for the longest run at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Their duet “Meant to Be” lasted 50 weeks, just under a full year. Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” follows, having reached the top in 2024 and stayed there into 2025 for a total of 45 weeks.

Ella Langley Blocks Morgan Wallen From No. 1 Again

Once again, “Choosin’ Texas” prevents Morgan Wallen’s new single “Been By Now” from reaching No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Although “Been By Now” opened at No. 2 last week and Wallen topped Langley on the Country Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts, Langley’s track reclaimed the top spot on those charts as well.

Ella Langley Makes Billboard Hot 100 History

“Choosin’ Texas” holds the No. 1 position on both the Hot Country Songs and the Billboard Hot 100 charts this week. The song has now logged 17 weeks at the summit of the Hot 100, the premier ranking for all songs in the United States.

With 17 weeks at No. 1, “Choosin’ Texas” breaks free of a tie with “One Sweet Day” by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men, “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, and Wallen’s own “Last Night,” each of which stopped after 16 weeks. The track now stands alone as the fourth‑longest‑running No. 1 in Hot 100 history.

Ella Langley Return to No. 1 on Three Additional Charts

It’s a big week for “Choosin’ Texas,” as the song returns to No. 1 on three charts it had not led just days earlier. It regains the top spot on the Country Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts, and also reclaims the lead on the all‑genre Streaming Songs tally. In each case, Wallen’s “Been By Now” falls back after its brief debut at the peak.
