Tottenham have accepted a loan offer from Juventus for goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, which includes an option to purchase.
The 29‑year‑old Italian international is expected to travel to Turin to finalize a move back to Serie A, with a non‑mandatory £8.6 million purchase clause included in the agreement.
This follows Juventus’ earlier pursuit of Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, which fell apart as the Italian club intensified talks to sign Parma’s Zion Suzuki.
Martinez sustained a finger injury and is currently unavailable for selection.
Vicario, meanwhile, fell out of favor at Tottenham under manager Roberto de Zerbi, who promoted backup Antonin Kinsky to the starting role last season.
De Zerbi has since confirmed that Kinsky will remain his first‑choice goalkeeper for the upcoming season, with Martin Dubravka signed on a free transfer from Burnley in July to provide competition and depth.
This move forms part of a club‑record spending spree by the north‑London side, who have already recruited six players and are targeting two additional attacking signings.
The club has also sold, loaned out, or released several former first‑team members, among them captain Cristian Romero, England international Djed Spence, and Yves Bissouma.
Vicario made 117 appearances for Spurs after joining from Empoli for £17.2 million in 2023.
