Payward Enters Anthropic’s Project Glasswing to Advance AI‑Driven Cybersecurity
AI is emerging as a growing threat to crypto companies, providing attackers with tools to discover vulnerabilities rapidly, automate assaults, and make phishing and social‑engineering campaigns far more convincing. This heightens risk for a sector that is already a frequent target for cybercriminals, while accelerating the competition to bring such technology into defense postures.
Claude Mythos 5 represents Anthropic’s most sophisticated defense‑oriented language model, engineered to sift through code at massive scale, pinpoint weaknesses and guide developers toward remediation. Initial access has been limited to entities managing or defending critical infrastructure, as Anthropic prepares robust safeguards for broader deployment.
Payward noted that cryptocurrency platforms encounter security challenges comparable to those faced by other essential financial systems. Exchanges, custodial solutions and settlement networks operate continuously and represent lucrative prize pools for malicious actors.
“Security has long been an uneven contest. An adversary merely needs to uncover a single flaw; a defender must locate every potential vulnerability each day,” said Payward co‑CEO Arjun Sethi in the announcement. “Frontier AI is the first force capable of reversing that imbalance.”
Anthropic indicated it intends to broaden the availability of Mythos‑class cybersecurity capabilities as further protective measures develop.
