The experience begins at the Garrison Tavern, where visitors can enjoy a drink and interact with characters from the fictional world before deciding whether to explore the ticketed underworld further.
Performance director Kieron Smith explains that the tavern serves as the gateway to the attraction.
“We feature singing, speeches, and an introduction to the overarching story delivered by actors portraying the characters,” Smith says. “Some guests may choose to stay for a drink, and on certain evenings live bands will perform. Alternatively, guests can upgrade to enter the underworld itself.”
Participants who proceed to the paid experience can explore locations such as Garrison Lane, the Shelby family’s front room, and a bookmaker, while completing story‑linked missions.
Producer George Wood and Smith describe how the experience works.
“Guests encounter characters throughout the venue, receive storylines and missions, and navigate an open‑world environment rather than a linear sequence of rooms,” Wood explains. “The audience is free to move anywhere they choose.”
The creators have incorporated details that connect the attraction to the broader Peaky Blinders universe.
“We include numerous Easter eggs from the series that guests can discover,” Smith adds. “For example, a phone call from Winston Churchill or a rude interruption from a voice resembling Alfie Solomons. These moments are brought to life by a cast of newly created characters for the Underworld.”
The experience is designed to evolve over time, rather than remain static.
“Our goal is to create a fully immersive underworld where storylines can change,” says Wood. “New characters and narratives will be introduced regularly, ensuring the world remains dynamic and exciting.”
