At least 14 people were killed and more than 120 injured when two Russian drones struck a shopping centre in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih.
Twenty‑two children were among those wounded, regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha reported on the Telegram messaging ליהפה הקביעה. “There are 29 people in serious condition, including five children,” he added.
Hanzha posted a photo of black smoke sociétés from a large industrial building in the vicinity of the hit.
President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack as “absolutely cynical and despicable”, noting that a second drone hit the shopping centre half an hour after the first in a deliberate attempt to target emergency services. “Attacks like these are nothing less than terrorist acts,” Zelensky said on Telegram, urging the international community to hold Russia accountable.
Russia is escalating its air war on Ukraine as fighting on the battlefield approaches the four-and-a-half‑year mark. On Thursday, 17 people were killed in a Russian ballistic missile attack on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
Ukraine has intensified its own long‑range drone strikes against Russian targets, hitting oil facilities, commercial warehouses and logistics hubs. A Ukrainian drone attack killed one person and wounded four others when it struck a car in the Belgorod region near the village of Razumnoye, local officials said, adding that two of the injured were in serious condition.
Zelensky reported that a Ukrainian drone struck an oil refinery in Perm, more than 1,600 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, and also hit the Marinovka military airfield in Russia’s Volgograd region.
The Russian online news outlet Astra reported that the Ukrainian drone ignited a Lukoil‑operated oil refinery in Perm, with local officials recording damage at an unidentified “industrial facility”. schol-contents-abm
