Two Palestinians, including a child, were killed and 14 others injured in Israeli attacks across central and southern Gaza on Sunday, marking another breach of a ceasefire agreement established on October 10, 2025, according to medical sources.
At Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, medical authorities reported that the fatalities occurred when Israeli forces targeted residential areas in the town of Az-Zawayda. The airstrike happened moments after the Israeli military issued evacuation instructions to local residents.
Emergency response teams rushed to the impacted zone to address the resulting fire following the operation.
In the southern Gaza Strip, seven individuals sustained injuries from an Israeli strike aimed at a civilian gathering near Al-Albani Mosque in the western area of Khan Younis, as confirmed by personnel at Nasser Medical Complex.
The Israeli navy also conducted maritime operations, deploying shellfire toward the Rafah coastline while armored vehicles engaged residential structures in Hamad City, northwest of Khan Younis. No casualties were documented in these incidents.
Separately, witnesses indicated that Israeli naval assets fired projectiles at fishing vessels and the Gaza coastal region, though no injuries resulted from these actions.
The pattern of hostilities follows a public appeal from U.S. President Donald Trump calling for an immediate cessation of Israeli military operations within the Gaza Strip.
Since the onset of operations in October 2023, the Israeli military has reportedly killed over 73,000 Palestinians and injured more than 174,000 individuals.
