WWE icon Stone Cold Steve Austin faced a setback in his recent off-road racing endeavors, failing to complete his race this past Saturday.
Following impressive performances earlier this year—including first-place finishes in the Prospector 250 in March and the Night Vision 250 in July—Austin was unable to finish the Stomping Grounds 300 held in Nevada on August 22.
Providing an update via Instagram, Austin explained that a driving error forced his team, Broken Skull Racing, out of the competition prematurely. While the mistake resulted in substantial damage to the vehicle, he confirmed that both he and his co-driver emerged from the incident uninjured.
Austin shared the following update:
“Made a mistake on the course and knocked us out of the race on Saturday. Myself and Co-driver, @reddogschopshop, are both 100%. The car took some pretty good damage, and we are working on getting it ready for the VC-Tonopah next race. @valleyoffroadracingassociation put on a great race, and we certainly left the chat too soon. Thanks to VORRA Recovery Jeff for the assist. We put the car back together good enough to drive back to the main pit on the back roads. This has been a great season of racing, and the H2 is a helluva car. We set out to finish every race. And my mistake cost us a finish. I have learned many things from it that I will take into future races. Do you even race, bro?”
