The AIUB Finance Club (AFiC), in collaboration with the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM), successfully organized an Investor Education Program titled “Investment in Capital Market” for club members on 13 August 2026. The event represented a significant step in enhancing students’ comprehension of capital market investments and fostering informed financial decision‑making.
Hosted at the BICM Multipurpose Hall, the program offered participants a dynamic platform to explore the fundamentals of capital market investing, practical investment approaches, and the importance of making well‑informed financial choices. Through interactive and informative sessions, students gained valuable insights into market dynamics and the practical knowledge needed to navigate investment opportunities effectively.
The sessions were led by Md. Habibullah, FCCA, Assistant Professor at BICM; Dr. Tamanna Islam, Assistant Professor at BICM; and Imran Mahmud, Lecturer at BICM. Drawing on their academic credentials and professional experience, the speakers delivered key perspectives on capital market investment, linking theoretical concepts with real‑world investment considerations.
The closing ceremony was honored by Wajid Hasan Shah, Executive President of BICM, who served as the Chief Guest. His presence underscored the importance of strengthening financial and capital market literacy among university students.
The program also welcomed the AIUB Finance Club’s mentors, Bohi Shajahan, Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance, and Quazi Nur Alam, Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance. Their ongoing support and encouragement were instrumental in facilitating the event and reinforcing the club’s dedication to providing students with practical financial education opportunities.
This collaboration between AIUB Finance Club and BICM further solidified the connection between academic learning and professional financial training.
