Almost the entire Villena Treasure, one of Europe’s most valuable Bronze Age collections, was stolen from a museum in eastern Spain during a four‑minute burglary. The thieves forced entry by smashing a window and the protective glass that surrounded it. Police suspect multiple perpetrators and vehicles were involved, and believe the culprits staged a diversion by triggering an alarm at a nearby sports centre before the break‑in.
