Tame Impala has achieved the biggest hit of its career—and a surprising global success—with “Dracula.” The track appears on the band’s latest album, Deadbeat, which was released last fall. While the song began as a solo project, it transformed into a worldwide phenomenon when Blackpink’s Jennie joined as a collaborator.

For months, the “Dracula” remix has dominated multiple genre-specific Billboard charts, propelling both Tame Impala and Jennie to new career milestones across various rankings. “Loser” was chosen as the second single from Deadbeat and was actually released weeks before “Dracula,” though it didn’t achieve breakout success until recently.

Over the past month, the single has suddenly gained massive popularity after being featured in the new film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This newfound attention has turned “Loser” into a significant achievement in America and nearly secured a No. 1 position on several charts—if only another Tame Impala track wasn’t blocking its path to the top spot.

Tame Impala Nearly Replaces Itself at No. 1

“Loser” climbs to No. 2 on three Billboard charts—the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs, and Hot Alternative Songs rankings—this week, reaching new peaks on all three simultaneously. In each case, Tame Impala prevents its own song from reaching No. 1, as “Dracula” maintains its hold at the top position. “Loser” also stays at its No. 2 peak on both the Alternative Streaming Songs and Rock Streaming Songs charts.

“Loser” Reaches More New Top 10 Peaks

“Loser” achieves new all-time highs on several additional Billboard charts this period, though it hasn’t yet reached the second position or higher. The single moves up to No. 3 on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. simultaneously, while climbing to No. 8 on the Streaming Songs chart.

Tame Impala’s “Loser” Climbs on Three Additional Charts

The Deadbeat single also reaches new heights—though remaining outside the top 10—on three additional rankings. “Loser” jumps to No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100, rises to No. 16 on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, and climbs to No. 18 on the Alternative Airplay ranking. The latter two gains are particularly notable, as the track advances from Nos. 29 and 31, respectively.

Tame Impala Debuts a New Hit on Two Pop Radio Charts

“Loser” enters two more Billboard charts this week, marking Tame Impala’s return to the pop radio landscape. The single debuts at No. 35 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart and No. 37 on the Pop Airplay ranking. “Loser” becomes the project’s third career placement on both charts upon its arrival.

“Dracula” Still Rules Several Billboard Tallies

As “Loser” continues to gain momentum, “Dracula” remains a No. 1 hit on an impressive number of Billboard charts. The Jennie collaboration holds the top position on the Adult Pop Airplay, Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs, Hot Alternative Songs, Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, and Dance Streaming Songs charts.

However, it loses its grip on the Pop Airplay chart this week, falling from No. 1 to No. 2. Simultaneously, the song maintains its all-time high of No. 16 on the Adult Contemporary ranking—the third of the three pop radio charts published by Billboard each week.
