Arsenal Secure Georgian Starlet Bartishvili as Medical Set for Early September

Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Georgian teenager Andria Bartishvili, according to the X account Geo_Team, with the transfer also confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.

Bartishvili is widely regarded as one of the most promising young players in European football, and it appears the Gunners acted decisively to secure his signature ahead of competing clubs, with Liverpool also reported to have shown interest in the midfielder.

The 17-year-old is said to be heading to London for a medical on September 1, with a transfer fee of €4.5m agreed. Under the terms of the deal, the highly-rated midfielder will officially link up with Arsenal in 2027 when he turns 18…

Romano echoed the announcement through his own X account, confirming that Bartishvili is poised to sign a five-year contract upon completing his move to the Emirates Stadium, with his medical scheduled for early next week…

Arsenal supporters will be hoping this proves to be a shrewd acquisition, with Georgian football having notably produced the exceptional Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in recent years.

The Paris Saint-Germain star arrived at Napoli in 2022 as a relatively unheralded signing, but he swiftly developed into one of Europe’s most exciting wingers, eventually earning a high-profile move to the French capital.
