Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei issued a written statement Sunday, urging Gulf rulers to “identify their true adversary and understand the plans to confront it.”
The message, released to mark the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad, called for “unity among Muslims” and emphasized mutual defense against common foes.
The Iranian leader has been out of public view for several months, after being caught up in the opening strikes of the recent Israel‑Iran conflict, in which his predecessor, former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed.
According to Israeli and American assessments, Khamenei survived the strike, sustaining serious injuries, yet has continued to govern the nation.
