A potential move for Julian Alvarez to Arsenal could emerge as the most significant deal to monitor, with the Atletico Madrid striker’s future currently uncertain.
The 26-year-old finds himself torn between his wish to depart Atletico and the club’s reluctance to sell him to Barcelona. However, Atletico would be willing to negotiate with Arsenal.
Arsenal have maintained a long-term interest in Alvarez and have been closely observing the developing situation. Atletico are reportedly seeking a fee of 150 million euros (£128 million).
Alvarez has been absent from several training sessions and was not part of the squad that travelled to face Sevilla on Saturday, with Simeone indicating the player was unwell.
Meanwhile, Simeone has tried to leave the door open for reconciliation, stating that he will do everything possible to make Alvarez feel valued when he rejoins training.
