The 23-year-old, who has quickly established himself as one of Pakistan’s most exciting talents since his debut against Bangladesh in May, will miss both Test series. He was the top run-scorer in his debut match, batting with composure to post half-centuries in each innings. During a recent tour game against a West Indies Select XI, he remained unbeaten in both innings with scores of 50 and 48, making him an automatic selection for the first Test. However, his injury now rules him out.
