During the special three-hour edition of AEW Dynamite and Collision on October 14, Adam Copeland made significant announcements following his Clockwork Carnage qualifying match against Josh Alexander.

Defeating Alexander to secure a spot in the AEW World Championship match at WrestleDream, Copeland addressed the status of his tag team partner Christian Cage. He revealed that Cage sustained three broken ribs—including one fractured in three places—and a collapsed lung during their encounter.

Shifting focus, Copeland reflected on his career trajectory, stating he feels he is “aging out” of professional wrestling. This realization prompted his announcement that 2027 will mark his final year in the sport.

Copeland will compete in the Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream, held at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, October 17.
