GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and AHL’s Utica Comets, have finalized a contract extension with forward Patrick Grasso for the 2026-27 season.
Grasso, 30, returns to Adirondack after posting 33 points (17g-16a) in 49 games last season. The Des Moines, Iowa native established a franchise record with 37 goals during the 2022-23 campaign, finishing with 59 points in 64 games. Over 220 ECHL contests with the Thunder, he ranks third in franchise history with 175 points (101g-74a).
During the previous two seasons, Grasso competed professionally in Austria, Sweden, and Northern Ireland. Prior to turning pro, he played five seasons at the University of New Hampshire, serving as an alternate captain for his final two years. He recorded 97 points (49g-48a) in 138 games with the Wildcats, earning Hockey East All-Rookie Team honors in 2016-17.
Grasso began his junior career in the USHL with his hometown Des Moines Buccaneers, contributing 106 points (43g-63a) across 196 games over four seasons.
