Get ready for plenty of Slackbot conversations.

Adobe

Adobe has launched a new Slack integration that brings more than 70 features from its flagship applications—including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Express, Firefly, Stock and Lightroom—directly into the messaging platform. This allows users to perform a wide range of creative and productivity tasks without leaving Slack.

The figure may ring a bell; Adobe recently released a ChatGPT plugin that grants OpenAI users access to a similar suite of over 70 tools across its creative and productivity lineup. The Slack implementation mirrors that approach closely.

The Adobe for Slack app is now available to Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ subscribers on web, mobile and desktop clients. It follows earlier integrations with Canva and Figma, which were introduced when Slack added Model Context Protocol support to Slackbot in June. Notably, an Adobe account is optional for basic use, but signing in unlocks the full toolset.

Once installed, users can simply message Slackbot with a request; the chatbot selects the most appropriate Adobe tool to carry out the task. Slackbot can pull content from Slack channels and Canvases as well as from assets stored in Adobe Creative Cloud. Typical use‑cases include converting spreadsheets into visuals, generating marketing or social‑media content from templates, and applying bulk edits to large image libraries.
